Dungeon23 Room 66 (The Trade Gate)
This room is connected to the rest of the complex by just one door. There are several skeletons of previous explorers that thought retreating to this room was good idea. However the bones have long since been picked over, there is nothing of value left.

Dungeon23 Room 65 (The Trade Gate)
2 walls of this room are covered in Dwarven runes, PCs that can read Dwarven runes will discover the runes are a standarized price list for various trade goods. Other than small piles of debris the room is empty.

The only access to this room is by 1 of 2 secret doors from the other rooms. Inside a stone container built into the wall, there are 20 50sp trade bars plus a large hexagonal shaped rod the groves on one end. (The key to open the mines, the 30' tall steel gates in area 49)

For this room the dice indicated a character (fighter) this can be used one of two ways. To replenish losses in the party or as potential x.p. The DMG on Monster Level 1 table pg. 175 says Human, the Human sub-table says Fighter. The fighter is currently counting a pile of 850ep.

Dungeon23 Room 56 (The Trade Gate)
The doors to this room are hangings off the hinges revealing dark shapes moving about the debris littering the floor. The dark shape are 15 Giant Rats (MM pg. 81 AC 7 h.p. 1-4) This is the center of a 6 room complex. There are doorways leading to each of the other rooms. Under some trash in the corner of the room are 2 gold bangle bracelets worth 55 g.p. each.

There are 11 Kobolds (MM pg. 57 AC 7 h.p. 1-4) stacking several sacks on top of 2 small metal chests near the far exit of the room. The 5 sacks contain 100gp each, one chest contains 2000cp the other 1500ep.

Scrabbling and scratching through th debris in this room are 15 Giant Rats (MM pg81 AC 7 h.p. 1-4) There is nothing of value in this room. Sounds of combat will attract the Kobolds in room 54.

Dungeon23 Room49 Workshops
This immense, cavernous room hold broken stone tables and not much else. The smaller area off to the side hold 20 coal beds for forge fires. There is nothing of value in either room. Off to one side is an enormous steel wall composed from three 30' tall hexagonal shaped gate segments. The gate is currently closed.

The stairs down and accompanying screw drive elevator go down to the workshops in area 49. The elevator is carved stone but no longer functions. The platform is stuck approximately 30ft down.

Dungeon23 Room 46 The Vaults
This vault not only has doors but there is a bust of a regally appointed dwarf with a gold circlet on it's head. To either side of the bust are two statues of dwarven warriors. (Caryatid Columns FF pg. 18 AC 5 HD 5) The Columns will attack the moment the circlet is touched. However before getting to bust, the party will have to contend with the 10 skeletons (MM pg. 87 AC 7 HD 1) that will stand up and attack the moment anyone crosses the threshhold of the room. The Circlet is a Circlet of Ultravision. 500gp

As with the previous two rooms this one has the carvings typical of the other three with the assortment of stands and cradles. This room is empty too, with no doors.

Much like the previous room, this room is carved with scenes of dwarven battles against undead. There are various stands and cradles for artifacts scattered about the room holding nothing.The doors to this vault are also missing.

This large rooms' walls are impressively carved with scenes of great battles with dwarves battling all manor of undead. There are stands that once held the great treasures of the 7 Clans, these are empty now. The doors to this vault are gone.

Dungeon23 The Shallow Dark random encounter table
On The world of Caldera, the underground places in the world are collectively known as the Shallow Dark, Middle Dark, Deep Dark. As my Megadungeon is rapidly approaching the Shallow Dark, I need a random encounter table to generate some ideas of where it was going. I was using the random monster tables from the DMG, but that's only tailored to dungeons, not caverns.
Dungeon 23 Room 42 The Vaults
The stairs from room 32 end in this 90' diameter round room. At its center is a10ft tall statue of a regally dressed dwarf. The plinth holding up the statue is a reliquary for the dwarf the statue represents. Contained within are A suit of Scale mail +2 and a Battle axe +2. As soon as the reliquary is opened 20 Zombies (AC 8 HD 2 MM pg. 103) will walk out of coffins hidden in the walls, and will attack the party.

Dungeon23 Room 33 - 41
The party will enter this room from room 32 thru an enormous 20' high arched doorway. Upon entering this 80' tall domed octagonal room they can see that there are seven other arched doorways leading to smaller rooms. Outside each archway is a statue of a Clan Founder. Each statue is trimmed in silver and copper decorations. If removed the decorations are worth collectively 1100cp and 1100sp. Roaming among the statues are 4 Fire Beetles (MM pg. 9 AC 4, HD 1+2) In the center of the room area 39 is an enormous spiral stairway going down. There is a locked gate 20' down the stairway that spans the width of stair.
The smaller room are septagonal shaped rooms with spiral stairway going down in the center of each. The stairway lead to the individual clans living quarters. Rooms 34,35,36,37, 40, & 41 are all empty. Room 38 contains 6 Goblins (MM pg. 47, AC 6, 1-7 hp) The Goblins are busy trying to pry the the electrum torch sconces off the walls. They are worth 750ep if removed.
